The professional rules applicable to the law office in Germany and to a „Rechtsanwalt“ in Germany are as follows:

Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung (BRAO),

Berufsordnung für Rechtsanwälte (BORA),

Fachanwaltsordnung (FAO),

Gesetz über die Vergütung der Rechtsanwältinnen und Rechtsanwälte (RVG),

Code of Conduct of The Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE),

Geldwäschebekämpfungsgesetz (GwG): Anordnung der Bundesrechtsanwaltskammer nach § 14 Abs. 4 Satz 2 GwG.

Professional liability insurance: Lawyers based in Germany are required to have a professional liability insurance by law („Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung“, BRAO § 51) Stefan Mannheim is insured with:

The Insurance covers damages caused by malpractise in the areas of European Law and representation of clients at  European courts.

Information regarding potential conflicts of interest: A lawyer must not represent or advise clients who might have a collision of interests. Before accepting a mandate, Stefan Mannheim will always check for a potential collision of interest with legal software.
